WeHOPE's 2019 Poker Run Is In The Books

October 19th was the 8th annual running of We HOPE’s biggest fundraiser of the year, “The Poker Run”.
Local residents came together and once again showed why Ulsan is the best city around. Planning always starts a couple months prior to the actual event, by choosing a unique shirt design and confirming local pubs’ participation. Then it’s time for the organizing team to do their thing promoting the event and again this year they did a fantastic job! A sincere thank you goes out to our dedicated team of volunteers, you guys are the driving force behind all of this. Your individual efforts are positively impacting our community.

We also would like to thank the amazing local establishments who continue to believe in what we do and support us, through the donation of gift cards or services that are used for prizes. Finally, thanks to this years’ host pubs, Cima, Sticky Fingers, Thursday Party, J-Bucks, and Scooby for your support of this event.
This year over 100 participants competed for the Poker Run title, competition was stiff, but a few lucky runners managed to walk away with some sweet prizes. The final amount raised has not been finalized yet but it is expected to be approximately three million won. These proceeds are used to organize our year end events for our programs with Ulsan’s underprivileged youth.
