The 2019 version of The Orphanage Christmas party was a great success. Long-time We HOPE volunteer, Mark Lamb, did a phenomenal job leading the organizing team that brought more than 60 volunteers together to put on a memorable day for the children. Paint n’ Clay Owner and artisan, Aussie Dave, who’s shop is located in Ok-Dong, Ulsan, has always been an active supporter of the We Hope organization. This longtime volunteer and supporter of our organization recently took up calligraphy art and managed to produce a very impressive collection of Christmas cards which were sold at the Christmas version of the Ulsan Foreign Market. In total proceeds from the sales of her Christmas cards was 600,000won, which she kindly donated to We HOPE to be used for the orphanage. Teachers and staff at the International School of Busan, formerly Busan International Foreign School, made a generous donation to We HOPE over the holiday season. As We HOPE is still being funded privately, mostly from small donations, the ISB contribution is greatly appreciated. We HOPE has big plans to expand our programs in Busan this year and we are looking forward to partnering and working with the wonderful students and staff at the International School of Busan in 2019
