2018 Orphanage Christmas Party: A Short Review

The 2019 version of The Orphanage Christmas party was a great success. Long-time We HOPE volunteer, Mark Lamb, did a phenomenal job leading the organizing team that brought more than 60 volunteers together to put on a memorable day for the children.

Almost 120 toddlers, children, and teenagers participated in various types of activities, games and play during the first two hours.

After the activity stations were all completed, everyone gathered in the gymnasium to watch more than a dozen performances by the children.

Finally, the volunteers sang a couple of carols and welcomed Santa to the stage to hand out presents for everyone. The final highlight was provided by a We HOPE supporter who donated a Ping-pong table, with 8 paddles and more than 100 balls for the children. A special thanks goes out to the following volunteers who stepped up to organize all the different activities/stations. John Lou, Joanne Senoren, Jenny Cho, Robin Roux, Anna O’Laughlin, India Meyers, Kara Abuyen, Kim Nguyen, Kefentse Botopela.
